Accessibility
We want this site to work for everyone, on any phone or computer. Last reviewed November 7, 2026.
What we do
- Large, clear text and plain words.
- Big buttons that are easy to tap.
- Crisis numbers on every page.
- Works with a keyboard and screen readers, with a “Skip to main content” link.
- Colors with strong contrast, and a dark mode button (moon icon) at the top of every page.
- An accessibility button on every page (bottom right) to make text bigger, read the page aloud, raise contrast, highlight links, add spacing, show a reading guide, or stop motion.
- Less motion when your device asks for it.
- No account, so nothing to sign up for.
- In English and Spanish: tap “Español” at the top of any page.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This is a goal we keep working on, not a promise that every page is perfect.
What we know needs work
- On slow connections, Spanish pages show in English for a moment while they load. Some official sites we link to are in English only.
- Search, the menu, and the accessibility tools need JavaScript. Page text loads first, even on slow phones.
Tell us about a problem
